Awana Genting Highlands is great place for us to camping and relax from citylife. With nice view of green forest and obstaincle activity, I have great experience to stay and relax here for 2 days. With comfortable Long House and tasty Pasar Ikan Bakar restaurant, Awana Genting Highlands is the best camping ground that I have ever get in my life.

Beside that, I get some valuable things and things that must increase from Awana Genting Highlands. What's that? Cek it out!

- Has various and challanging outdoor activities that make us feel free.
- Great Long House with cool service.
- Delicious food from Pasar Ikan Bakar with barbeque fresh seafood

Totality

As the last contestant which get night flight, I really surprise get wonderful additional trip in Selangor from Tourism Selangor’s crew. Another contestant has go to their home for rest, but I still here to buy something for my parents in Bandung. Sher and Hazreen take me to city tour, buy something from market, and tell me about little history at Selangor. They doing me as honorable guest and give me good service. I really happy and get good impression about Tourism Selangor. They not only doing something not only for money, but give their totality to anyone who use their service.

Talk about totality, nowdays is has been a unique thing. Very rare to do and implemented in our life. After work time, we don’t want work anymore, except we get additional money. We don’t care anything after work time eventhought someone need our help. That’s fact in life. But Tourism Selangor give me different perception. Guest is a king. They make me comfort as a friend and service as well as they can do.

They take me to supermarket to buy something. Take me lunch and I don’t need to pay for my food. As we can see that we are out from My Selangor Story’s tour and they still pay for me. That’s really good services that I never expected will do by Sher and Hazreen. They make my impression to Tourism Selangor really good and I pray for them to get best position when they working there.


Totality make them different from many people in the world. They are the best employee that I ever meet before in the world. From their service, I learn to do something with totality, so I can get the best thing that I can achieve in my life. Thanks Sher and Hazreen for your lesson life for me about totality. I will do everything with totality in my life, expecially in My Selangor Story Competition.

We Are Same

When we talk about seniority, maybe our mind is focuses to school, military, and working place. Someone which has many experience always think they are the best. They don’t accept their junior doing their best performance because they don’t want losing anymore. That’s the life rules in the world, I think. But My Selangor Story give me different perception. We are same. That’s we do and go on with.

Obstaicle games is give me great sensation about friendship and team work. Honestly, as the youngest finalist in My Selangor Story, I don’t get bad respond from my senior. They help me as their friend, not as senior help junior. We face the challenge together and we get finish as a team. Not as individual skill, but team skill. I really miss that moment. In my country, this perception is very rare to do. Upper age always discriminate lower age.

World is beautiful without seniority. Every people live together each other. Respect everyone, help everyone, and make society became heaven. No more discrimination, no more kasta. If this perception adapted into our world, I really optimist that every problem in the world will get solution. We solve together as a team and don’t get nature law in our life.

My Selangor Story teach us about human morality. We are same and we are here for one goal, that’s to promote Selangor as well as our skill. So, don’t get weak because you’re little, but do the best because everyone here has same chance to win!

Out From Citylife

I really interested to go hiking or cross country. I’m not a nature lover, but I can take deep breath and fresh air that I can get in city. Yeah, that’s my first impression when I came to Awana Genting Highlands. Many trees, birds, and floras, which still natural and make us feel like life in other world, world without stressful and preasure from work and school.

I saw a beautiful view from Long House. There’s so many forest here. So peace and make my heart comfort. Yeah, this is God’s gift. We must appreciate and thankful for it. Nature is make us feel that world is green and free. Free from trouble. Free from diplomatic. We will not talking about something serious here. Just stay and relax. You must rest your body and soul, blended with nature. You will feel free like birds.

Sometimes I think why some human want to destroy the forest to their business. They don’t care about environment and think only money and money in their mind. God’s creation and world is our responsibility as someone who live and born in the world. When we forget our responsibility, don’t blame God don’t care to us, but we must ready with consequences that nature can angry to us.

Nature is like human body. It has system to coordinate everything inside body. If one part of body disfunction, another part of body will pain. Same as nature and environment. If we waste and exploitation it’s too much, nature can give respond to express their pain. Live out from citylife is a wonderful experience, because we can realize that nature is important for our life, next generation, and future.

Just Try It

One thing that I always do before doing anything is asking everything. “Is it safety for me?”, “Is it take a long time?”, “Is it make me tired and bored?”, and many questions. I really closed about new experience which have a risk for me. Just like bloody, ache, etc. That’s why I can’t swim, ride a motorbike, and do the extreme games. Because I’m to scared to do anything.

My Selangor Story this day push me to do something out of the box. You know that I hate water sport because I can’t swam and I’m afraid I will sink in that sea. But I reminded my heart that I’m here as a chosen one, so I will do the best and face my fear. After that, I’m playing kayaking with Fahmi. I optimistic that everything will be fine. And I see, that the game is really fun. I really thankful because I choose to do it.

I think in my mind why I’m so stupid to fear anything before I try it. Why I’m not just try it? Why I claimed that everything is not good for me before I try it? My Selangor Story makes me learn that new experience is make us rich and brave as a human. I have learn a lot of skill that I never get in my life. A great lesson of life is experience, right? Experience is the best teacher in the world.

From that day, I’m trying to do anything with big heart and brave. I will not wasting my chance again to taste happiness in the world. And when my heart protect me not to do a new thing, I will say “Just try it!”

Why Must Me?

Honestly, first time when I came to Selangor, I'm asking myself. "It is real or I just have a good dream?" ask me in my heart. I can't believe that "you're the chosen one", Daniel. Like a dream, I go to airport with my parents and they leave me alone to go to Malaysia. As a young blogger with low experience and quality behind Tian Chad, Niger, Pamela, and Feeq, I really suprised that I've got the ticket to Selangor. In the plane, I asked "Why must me?".

There 200.000.000 people in Indonesia and only me and 13 friends from Indonesia are chosen to join in this competition. There’s a lot Indonesian blogger, whose have a good skill in writing, photo, and video better than me. “Why not them?” I’m asking to God. After I remind and flash back my life, I knew that this is your chance to do something bigger that you never expacted in your life. This is time to encourage your skill in blogging.

I knew that many consequens when I go to join My Selangor Story 2011. First of all, I can’t prepare anything for my exam in 3 October 2011. Secondly, I lose many activities that I usually do in that time. Last, I’m fear and scare to go alone without anyone. But I choose to go to Malaysia after I declared be Top 30 My Selangor Story. I believe in life there’s only one chance. If you lose it, you will never get it again in the future.

I learnt from the past that I must use my time wisely because time will never came back. Maybe yesterday you saw someone that you love. But we never expected that maybe tomorrow will be the last day we saw him/her. I don’t want use my time useless because I see future is now. Today is our act to decided which future you will be. Good future or bad future? Yes, My Selangor Story is a big lesson for me to do bigger task and responsibility.

You know when I knew that I’m the youngest contestan from My Selangor Story, I’m only thankful to God. Thanks God that in my young age, You have give me a big chance to learn something about blogging and life. I met many professional blogger here, just like Tian Chad (runner up My Selangor Story 2011), Feeq and Niger (professional blogger), and Pamela (professional underwater photograph). First time, I feel I will fail in this competition. Is not fair to compare young blogger with professional blogger, right? Is just like compare elephant and ant.

Back to question, “why must me?”, I realize that everyone has a same change to win. Yeah, every people has different talent and they can show it anytime to prove world that they can. I’m here because God wants me to be here. I’m here because God believe that I can face the competition as a warrior. I tell my heart that I will do my best in this competition. I don’t care how great and spectacular my competitor’s blog. I will only focus to my blog. I will give my best performance and the result I pray to God.

My Selangor Story tell me a lot things about life. We must struggle to life in every side of life. As a little blogger, I must realize that maybe my chance to win is very low. But I’m sure if I do the best, God will help me to win.

So, when I ask “why must me?”, I will answer “Because I have winner quality in my heart. That’s why I’m here.”

Selangor Travelling and Go Home



Hari terakhir di Selangor ini memang sangat menyedihkan bagi kita semua. Kami semua harus berpisah pada jam dan waktu yang berbeda ke bandara. Ada yang mendapat pukul 06.30, 08.00, 10.00, dan 12.00 dengan penerbangan pesawat Firefly. Kami mengawali hari ini dengan mandi, mengemas koper, dan sarapan di restaurant yang ada di Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie. Tak lupa kami menggunakan Celcom untuk menelepon kerabat kami di Indonesia dan Malaysia yang kami tinggalkan selama 5 hari.

Sembari menunggu, satu persatu dari kami harus pulang kembali ke daerahnya masing-masing. Sedihnya… Amelia Tan, Fairuz, dan Dian Azura pun terlihat sangat sedih harus melepas kepergian blogger-blogger di My Selangor Story 2011 ke bandara. Sebagai kontestan terakhir yang mendapatkan penerbangan malam, saya menjadi orang Indonesia terakhir yang meninggalkan Selangor.


Pukul 13.00, setelah semua finalis pulang ke daerah mereka masing-masing, saya mendapatkan benefit khusus sebagai peserta terakhir yang tersisa dan berasal dari Indonesia. Saya akan dibawa berjalan-jalan mengelilingi Selangor dan shopping untuk berbelanja oleh-oleh di Selangor. Sebelumnya saya dibawa dengan kendaraan Tourism Selangor oleh Hazreen dan kantor Tourism Selangor. Saya melihat bangunan Tourism Selangor sangat strategis karena letaknya yang dekat dengan Masjid Biru.




Setelah itu, saya dibawa ke mal yang memiliki wahana Sunway Lagoon. Di sana, saya dibawa berkeliling sejenak untuk melihat-lihat tempat belanja yang ada. Sayang karena keterbatasan waktu, saya tidak bisa berlama-lama dan harus beranjak ke tempat wisata selanjutnya. Saya pun dibawa ke pusat perbelanjaan Pasaraya Besar Mydin untuk berbelanja makanan-makanan khas Malaysia. Cihuy!






Dengan semangat, saya memasukkan belanjaan ke troli dan membayarnya di kasir. Berhubung keterbatasan waktu, kami pun makan di Nasi Kandar Padang Kota. Meskipun acara tour My Selangor Story 2011 sudah usai, saya tetap ditraktir untuk makanan yang menggiurkan. Slurp! Terima kasih Sher dan Hazreen buat pelayanannya yang memuaskan. Setelah makan, kami pun pergi ke airport untuk melakukan check in.



Saya pun tiba di Sky Park Terminal pada pukul 17.00. Sembari menunggu pesawat Firefly yang akan membawa saya, saya pun menelepon kerabat dan orang tua yang ada di Indonesia dengan Celcom. Tarif yang murah membuat saya bingung bagaimana cara menghabiskan RM 50 yang saya punya dengan bijak. Akhirnya, pesawat Firefly pun tiba dan saya pun harus mengatakan Good Bye pada Selangor. Hiks… Perjalanan saya bersama My Selangor Story 2011 di Selangor pun berakhir.

Selama di perjalanan, saya tak henti-hentinya merenungkan begitu banyak pengalaman dan kenangan yang tak terlupakan selama di Selangor. Saya pun tiba di Bandara Husein Sastranegara, Bandung pada pukul 21.00. Yah, My Selangor Story penuh dengan kejutan dan pastinya akan menjadi sebuah momen sejarah kehidupan saya yang tidak terlupakan.
